• An interesting tour into the past by visiting Csilagvár (Star-castle). In the castle there is a waxwork museum reminding visitors to the ancient times, a doll museum and a hussar museum. The castle and its area is a nice reminiscent garden and mini zoo. (1.5 hours)

Historical War Games on Horseback

During the Historical War Games on Horseback program visitors see a performance showing how equestrian archers at the time of the settlement of the Magyars in Hungary, or the medieval knights and soldiers of the castles and other Hungarian heroes fought their wars and how valiant they were.

Medieval Feasts

Visitor becoming hungry while watching the War Games on Horseback or the joust may choose among different feasts. We offer three different feasts including the gastronomic specialities of the middle ages. Dinner is always served in the big hall of the knights.

Medieval Feast: 5,000.-HUF/person

Apricot brandy, meat soup with noodles, goose leg roasted in furnace, whole baked potatoes, cabbage salad and fruit pie, wine and water as much as you like.

Feast of the Lords: 6,000.-HUF/person

Champagne, meat soup with noodles, goose leg roasted in furnace, crunchy trotters, whole baked potatoes, cabbage salad, strudel, wine and water as much as you like.

Royal Feast: 7,000.-HUF/Person

Champagne, medieval pâté, meat soup with noodles, goose leg roasted in furnace, crunchy trotters and flitch, stewed fruit, whole baked potatoes, cabbage salad, strudel, wine and water as much as you like.

It is a full day tour starting at 10 with arrival in the evening. Prices do not include entrance fees, the ticket for the war games on horseback in Sümeg or the price of the lunch. Since tickets for the war games on horseback in Sümeg shall be purchased in advance, therefore registration for the program is required two days earlier.
